About the Shop

Lee Frame Shop was opened in 1932 by Bert Lee. It was originally located next to the Fox Theatre at 1021 W. Sprague in downtown Spokane. The shop has had a number of owners over the years but no one has ever changed the name. In 1980 the shop was moved to its present location at 1407 W. First in the heart of Carnegie Square, so named because of the Carnegie Library which was built by the Carnegie Foundation in the 1920's. The area went through a renovation thanks to Integrus Architects who transformed the library into their offices and to Wells and Company, a firm which owns buildings on the other three corners of the square that feature unique shops and restaurants.

Lee Frame Shop is a full service frame shop and art gallery. We recently purchased a computer driven mat cutter to further our service and quality to our customers. We currently feature the artwork of Spokane artists Carl Funseth and Renee Rigsby. Carl is an oil painter who specializes in historic downtown Spokane as well as other northwest scenes. Renee is a watercolorist who paints a variety of work including Spokane scenes as well as flower boxes, gardens and storefronts. You can see some of our artists' work here. We also have a number of catalogs from which to chose prints.
